Wanderings

1. Anna Kate and I spent my first day in Hoboken enjoying a burger with some Jack and Coke, while doing some pretty stellar people watching. There was a BMX crew just hanging around, ranging from a young high school girl to a dad with his kid on the front of the bike. Super interesting.
2. View from Hoboken looking over to Manhattan. There's a cute green space where people go to lay out on summer weekends and listen to some live music!
3. The two of ready for our first day in the real working world. Cheesey, maybe. But it'll be a defining moment to look back on one day and see where we started.
4. Part of my beautiful walk home. Not too shabby of a sunset, but nothing can top an Auburn sunset!
5. Sangria Sunday. The best thing ever.
6. It felt like it rained the entire first week! We got trapped in a downpour on our way back from dinner one night. Soaked to the bone.
7. Our very first time navigating the NYC subway system. Anna Kate had a foot up on me, having gotten to the city a week early. Still learning.......
8. Just a part of my daily life now. How crazy is that?!

City That Never Sleeps: NYC

I am here!

I can not wait to update with my adventure that is New York (well...and some of Hoboken as well) I have survived my first week in the working world in the Big Apple and I am happily exhausted. Though a weekend spent on the coast of Connecticut did leave me feeling refreshed this Monday morning. My sweet friend is hosting me in her apartment until my situation becomes somewhat more stable and it sure is a fun journey. It's been great having someone to have with me on my commute and to be there to chat about jobs and adjustments- like walking EVERYWHERE or getting lost on the subway or trying to figure out where has the best burger, drinks, or cupcakes (more on that later) in town. I have many updates to share from this past winter and spring in Nashville, so more on that later, and much more to come with NYC :)

Funny thing is, I'm getting much more sleep here than normal!

What's your favorite part about exploring a new city?
